I think this is gonna look pretty sweet...all the hatches I've seen around just look like something is missing back there
I agree... I know on the Hatch - it says the spoiler is included -- but IMO it just looks like a rounded-off bump over top of the back windshield.

I think its needs just a little something else there.

i agree about the stock spoiler, i looked at some universal carbon fiber ones, really i just want to say it is carbon fiber, even though it wont cut weight or do anything significant, but most are way too ricey, even though i obviously am making it sound like i want it riced, i just want a small helping, not to look ridiculous with some few foot tall wing on the back.

Do you have any pictures of the splash guards installed?

Should have some tomorrow. I got the rears done today and it took 20 minutes. It's a breeze. The fronts seem a little more work because you have to remove the tires to get to the pins and screws.

I'll try and post up some tomorrow. I'll also have version 3 of the LED running lights ready by then. I've gone in a slightly different direction.

On ford.ca when you build the titanium hatchback, the cargo protector for the hatch/w sub-woofer is listed under the interior options. I can't imagine those not being offered in the USA as well.

not carpeted but certainly more protection than what the car came with. i've been debating on getting this myself but i read someone's posting that said it didn't fit very well. might just get a blanket and throw that down for a while.

hopefully will be receiving the mud flaps this week and installing them this weekend. what's this you have to take the front tires off to install them? what a pain.

also ordered a pair of husky liners, the winter floor mats that come with the vehicle are made for florida winters, not northern snow.

Yes, the spacing in the fronts is much tighter than the rears, so you can't really get your hands in there to do anything. I haven't tried it yet, but the instructions show using a hammer to nail the spreaders into the pins that you use to secure them.

I don't know, these instructions leave a lot to be desired. It's all pictures and no text (I guess that's so they don't have to print it in 50 languages), but the rear instructions looked pretty complicated until I actually got in there to do the work. It took longer to figure out the pictures than to just do the mod itself, so I anticipate a similar situation in the front.

the instructions really could be better, but i installed all four a few weeks ago and the fronts were not to bad and was able to do it without removing tires prob would have made it easier but o well, the only thing is you have to drill a hole for the fronts and the pins are kinda annoying to get in

The mud flaps are easier to install than the instructions imply. I ended up re-using the stock rivets which worked great (except for the bottom rivet on the front). Meaning I didn't have to deal with trying to hammer in the new rivets that came with the flaps. There is a lot of bounce back so that adds to the difficulty of trying to use the new rivets.

Okay, did the fronts in about 20 mins also. Didn't remove the wheels, just turned them fully towards the side I was working on. Didn't drill, I used a soldering iron to burn a hole through the fender well liner instead, worked like a champ.I did hammer in the pins and they all seemed to go in nice and easy except for the far inside one. Had to use a flat object to just force it in, but got it done without too much hassle.

Spoiler is at the paint shop. Should be done in two days. $200 for the Platinum Tri-coat paint job. A little steep, but I think it'll be worth it.

New wheels shipped today. 3 day Fedex, so should have them mounted and on by early next week.

Took some pics, but it's too bright outside to see any detail. Will post up a few later in the evening.

She's coming together nicely...

I think it looks better with the mud flaps.
I like your tastes there Fred.

I think it really makes the lower side look more substantial and better proportioned. I think it'll make a big difference when I get the new wheels on her.

As for functionality, I have been getting tire treatment slung up on my fenders and rocker panels without the flaps, this should resolve that problem cold.

Finally, it just makes the car look more finished IMHO. It's a good mod. Cheap and effective. I give it a [drummer]

i agree with both of you. it does actually look better with them on there. this is something i am going to be getting asap. I have the same issue with debris always getting stuck to my panels. the little black specs really stand out on the race red. you would probably have the same issue with the white.

i am glad they are more black than they are gray. the partscheap.com picture made them look more on the gray side.

120 bucks shipped to my door for that site. going to see what it costs to order them from the dealer.

Eddie, I have a race red hatch as well, SE. I just installed the mud flaps and it really does pick up the look of the car. Btw, which paint did you use for the calipers and did you prime first? Did you take off the calipers to paint?
