holy crap. just installed it on the 04 2.3l. trook a short drive around the block for now, and wow, what a difference! a little harder to install than i anticipated, but not too bad. damn intak boot wouldn't go over the tb without removing the clamp, so for now, it sits fully on the tb clampless. paid $185 used, and for now, worth every penny. won't get it on the highway until monday. now i just need to decide on the magnaflow catback or a sri.

Posted via FF Mobile When I put the 67 mm on my 2.0 . It brought everything to life . On the acceleration side , I can barely press on the gas and I'm and running like a bat outta hell.

It's interesting that you posted this, because I posted this http://focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=260520 a few days ago. Haha. I prefer the stock TB. I liked the TB when I had an intake and STS, but after I put the exhaust on, it was too much "oomph!" initially and tapered off quickly at about half throttle. Essentially, the larger TB gives you an exponential increase in power.

^^Its not a power increase. Its just lots of throttle response. It allows the pressure differential between the outside air and the intake manifold to equalize much quicker which translates into much faster throttle response.

I wasn't meaning it adds power... I was meaning you get more power to the wheels, quicker. I.E. faster throttle response. In terms of net power, it's essentially 0.

I had one a couple year's ago. I loved the response on the on ramp's. I found the TB to sensitive off idle, in stop & go traffic, my wife wondered what is wrong w/ the Foci. I believed it was the linkage geomtry, I should have paid attention to that compared to the stock one. CFM's TB is great w/ not that bumper to bumper traffic= more responsive!

I'm guessing that people who dislike the throttle response have/had this TB installed on an automatic car. Manual cars have the advantage of being able to feather the clutch to get whatever amount of "take off" you want out of your car.

I have a ST, so that mean's stick only. I don't slip the clutch a lot, I still have the original dual mass flywheel & clutch, so there's some give, w/ the spring's on the flywheel.
