Paid $18,700, 3.9% APR, 60 months, no downpayment on a 03 ZX5 with all options, sticker at $21,800 something, that was over 8 months ago and it happen to be the only SVTF ZX5 in the state of Alabama at the time. Price came after 3 weeks of neg. [;)]

Hell I live in alaska and there is no sales tax.. I paid $1000 down... took the .9% and the loan was 22500 (2400 for extended warrenty). So I paid 21100 for mine fully loaded for the 02 models!

I got mine for $17,100 TT&L drive out.
I took the $2500 rebate, traded in a 2000 Focus LX
that I owed $5100 on and they gave me $6100 for it.
So the financed amount was $16,100 at 2.9%.
Sticker price was $19k and change.

this is what most here don't understand. the more hp you make in any engine, the rpm that it makes the power goes up. In a 4 cylinder with very small displacement, the affect is acentuated big time. You don't notice it quite so bad in a V-8. The SVTF does just that. Look at the mag. articles and spec sheets. The SVTF moved the power band way up on the rpm chart for the power it makes. You don't have a whole lot of choice with it. It is just the nature of the beast.

I bought my 03 SVTF 5 door, HID, Audiophile, Cold Weather and Moonroof for 17650 out the door in Fairfax, VA at Ted Britt Ford

I actually traded out of a Mustang GT. Once I drove the Focus the car just grew on me. Not as fast as my Mustang straight line, but makes up for it in the twisties!!!

As far as the noticable lack of grunt in the low end, make sure that you haev had your PCM reflashed under the 03-19-11 TSB from Ford. I had my car for a week and had it done by the dealer. It feels a lot better now! Also allows the DSI to open at 5000 RPM as opposed to 6000 RPM!!!

I'm takin my car to the dealer 2morrow for the flash. I set it up 2day. I have had this thing for 2 weeks and the batt light has been commin on. Think it will fix that 2, did some readin about it.

Would be nice if it helps w/ power 2

you will be pretty happy with the updated flash. Having the DSI actuate at 5000 RPM really makes driving this car that much easier (and fun)...i should have an idea next week on if my mileage was affected or not.
