What kind of products do you use to condition the weather stripping and seals? I usually just clean them with water and soap but I'm looking for something to condition them so that last longer. Would 303 Aerospace Protective do the job?

That Aerospace stuff looks pretty intense.

I usually use armor-all or something similar. I have yet to try Back-To-Black which I'm wanting to do. Mine are more of a gray color.

Yeah, that 303 has tons of uses, it's real good with dealing with UV rays and fading of pretty much any material, plastic, rubber, vinyl, fiberglass and leather. I havn't bought any yet, I plan on picking some up soon so when I do my spring detail I can have it and start using it on a regular basis to try and keep some parts on my car looking fresh for a while.

Ive used baby oil on my 96 Eclipse back in the day it had terrible dry weather stripping and it made it nice n new lookin, pretty sure it had worse affects later from sun beaming down.

Back 2 Black is great aswell its actually white, not black if I remember correctly its a cleaner more than anything

I believe Mother's at least used to make a product just for this purpose. If I can find or remember what it was, I will let you know. I did use it with great results on some very old weather stripping years ago.

do you want to make it last? or turn it black again?

the 303 is great stuff, but wont make it return to 100% black.

same for the optimum (great stuff as well)

the back to black, or similar products will return it back to black (lol?) but that is more of a dye type product...and will still need some UV protection over it, after it dries.

I was just looking at the Mothers Back to Black, which is what I believe Shamrock was talking about.

From what I read on the back it is just a cleaner. I couldn't really see it getting my faded trim black again so I opted not to buy it. I may some time though just because it stands out real bad.

imo back to back sucks balls.. when i first used it i thought my faded plastic finish was fixed.. but meh.. by the next week i used it it looked the same as before, i really thought it was a permanent thing,

I use Armor All on my weather stripping . And I use the back to black to get rid of excess wax residue that got on my black plastic trim.
