damn. i pay 87 a month and im not even 20 yet (i turn 20 on monday)

the only reason its that high is because i added a little stuff on it,
if i had basic liability it would be 71 a month.

and im not under my parents insurance. i pay my own, with the company i choose to go through

Yea... for those of you who dont know.. if you are under the age of 25, regardless of your record, your insurance is going to be high.. Its just how insurance works.

Insuring a car thats actually considered a sports car will double if not triple your premiums.

I was 18 when I got my SVT and my insurance was going to charge me almost $300 a month and I have a perfect driving record. I learned that me being main driver on my Jeep with just liability, and my dad being main driver on my SVT, I only pay $130 for both.

You know you drive an SVT when..... you use your passenger seat to keep your take out warm on the way home!!! (lol i did it with lunch this afternoon!!!) [popcorn] [unsure]
wow i think that is the best idea i have read on here....thanks red the idea!!!!! rep for you!! finally gonna put my recaros to some work next time i get food or somehing

i pay 100 bucks a month now for full coverage in my SVT with 1 point on my record....when I first got my SVT i was 20 and my insurance was 230 bucks but just in that short time its dropped drasitically.....the people paying over 200 bucks need to look around and get quotes from smaller insurance brokers

I only pay 126 for full and im only 19!

I now have 10 points. Insurance hasn't gone up. I am with geico and its the cheapest I can find. anyways. Yea the points are just from being un lucky. One was my stupidity. the other two were like in the middle of the night going 9 over.

You only have 2 pts left on your license? How old are the tickets? It takes 2 years to recoup the pts back from each ticket-half 1st year,half-2nd year. It takes 3 years to come off your insurance history. If you need points back quick so as not to lose your license if you get stopped again, there is a one day defensive driver course offered by state technical colleges( I think $80.) that will get you 4pts back.[driving]

I guess its cause I live in the city with the WORST drivers in the NATION. seriously.
I'll second that one! lol

I just drove through there en route to Disney with my family, and I couldn't BELIEVE how bad the drivers are down that way! And I thought Columbus, OH drivers were bad!!

Heck, even down in FL, when it rained, there were about 4 cars just off the road, or backwards into the median divider, I'm guessing from hydroplaning. I'm guessing people down there don't know how to drive in anything other than sunshine...haha.

What's funny about your comment is I hear that from literally everyone I know. I know a guy from D.C. and he says "Seriously, D.C. has *the* worst drivers." And then if you talk to people from San Antonio, they say "All the worst drivers move to SA." And then people from California say "All the worst drivers are in southern Cali." Essentially, people in general are terrible drivers. Sure the overall driving skill varies from state to state, probably based on population density, but it's impossible to say you have the worst drivers because they are all over the U.S.

I can say this right now.

California has the absolute worse drivers ive come across.

Ive driven in 15 states now, and none piss me off more than Cali drivers. Some states people are just stupid, only in cali do people have zero consideration for any lives at all including themselves. Watching somebody veer across 5 lanes of traffic at 100+ to make their offramp is a daily occurance there. I seriously hate it.

Try driving in Billings, MT

According to a chart, can remember where it was, Columbia is really rated as the worst drivers. By the charts...
