soooo yeahhhhh.....seven pages later lol....

this was supposed to be about a clutch fellas

so spec stage 3? or cm stage 4? which one? and will I have to go with another flywheel? I already have a fidanza 8.8lb'er in there, but i'd like to keep it vs spending another 400-500 bucks or w/e they cost nowadays

yes you can still use fidanza flywheel with any clutch

i have a friend with a shop down here in ft lauderdale ,fl...he has a 819whp civic hatch....1996.it runs 10.2 at 145...best time ever. the car is gutted to the max. no a/c.one seat ,etc. so what is the big deal.
If you wanna post info like that, at least post a fast car. 145 is terrible for 819whp, especially in a gutted hatch! . I sure hope he was running low boost on that pass.

Also about the clutch question, I had a CM stg4 and it was absolutely terrible. Slipped at 240whp after a few dyno pulls and it was properly broken in for 1200 or so miles.

Nope, that car is from the UK and is not FWD.
ya, I believe thats the UK Cosworth focus

yeah i know [neener] ... lol if you look up the name of the racetrack on google it comes out as a widely known racetrack.. i belive it's (santa pod) its in the video) but i just wanted to get that cleared .... thanks guys[8)]

spec 3 ftw!! I've had spec clutches on 2 cars and they are amazing!! no problems w/ the focus, thats for sure!! maybe other cars have problems, but not the focus!!

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry![nutkick] Well here's a focus that probably can make 700hp http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredvehicles/custom_2000_ford_focus_racecar/index.html Don't know and don't care if Tom ever had a 700hp focus, he sure is faster than anyone on this thread and can beat our asses all up. So back to the topic.... $1200 for a spec stage III what was that? a ceramic clutch?
no it was not ceramic. im not sure if you know this but shops these days charge labor fees to install such parts. so after all was said and done he threw $1200 down the shitter thanks to spec and their almighty 750 tq capable clutch that took a shit after being properly broken in and launched about 5 times on slicks with a car that makes 420rwhp and about 400tq. he went to a textralia clutch and hasnt had a problem since. and yes the textralia clutch did cost $1200 after shipping. they are australian made and sold. and they are also carbon ceramic.
