i had the iceman on my old zetec and didn't liked it i change it for a volant and saw a little difference on the top end, bottom end was the same. i would go with volant

I'd say go with Volant. I've had mine for about a year and love it. I have heard of the fitment issues with some strut tower braces, but I haven't run into the issue myself.

I swear by the Pipercross Viper, with Pipercross CAI pipe mated to SVT air intake snorkel (just the plastic nozzle at the front.)

Before and after dyno. Lift in power and torque right across the rev range. 6.7% increase in peak power (FWkW)

Steeda does make an sri for the zetec. I know cause I have one. Incredibly easy install. The performance is that same as all the other intakes basically. I like how it doesnt get all raspy like some other intakes at the top end since the cone filter and tubing are quite large compared to some others. I just like thay way the polish looks in my engine bay.

the only problem is they dont sell pipercross vipers anymore in the us. i recieved the last one in the country. i feel kinda special of that one. i wouldnt give mine up for the world
before i got the pipercross i was seriously looking at the volant, they sound mean and they r built very sturdy

You can still get them, you just have to order them from across the pond and pay a little extra in shipping. Had mine for 2+ years and wouldn't give it up for anything.

Damn, this original post is from 2006???[chair]

NO, NEVER EVER get any cheap intakes off ebay, i wanted to save and i got one for 9.99 + 39.99 shipping, so ended up just a lil over $50 in CAD, so i recieved that shit yesterday and tried to fit, didnt work (nowhere to put the sensor, shoulders were too small to fit), also the pipe i got was damaged, sides on both ends were bent, so im trying to get my money back coz it was damaged while shipping.. so i had no choice i didnt want to risk and get another cheap intake so yesterday i ordered steeda one for like 180.. you always get for what you pay.. so dont get this cheap stuff off ebay

i have the AEM "ebay" version Cold Air intake (CAI)
i went through a seller zomkspeed on ebay

$48 dollars shipped
very high quality has a maf sensor location block on it also sure as hell beats a $300+ intake for the same performance
comes with a high quality powdercoat in red blue or black

try this(ebay) before you mess with high dollar intakes see how you like it before you buy at higher prices

Received the 16th from www.k2motor.com a 49.00 dollar to my door CAI in natural aluminum. It will require fitting but for the price you can't beat it. Especially if you want to learn about airflows and fabrication. Be careful of puddles! You do not want to ingest water! water = bent parts. Soon as I get my welder fixed I will design an airbox with a snorkel sucking at the grill.
