Run 1/0 ga wire for the Big3 Upgrade

Run 1/0 ga wire from the battery to the back
(use a 250a ANL fuse in-line withing 18" of the battery for protection)
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=FH-20

Use this KnuKonceptz ANL fused distro blk:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-12

Run 4 ga wire from the block to the amps
(add up the fuses on each amp to determine the fuse to use in the distro block)

Run 4 ga wire from each amp to the car body for ground
(be sure to sand the paint away for a good connection)
(the ground wire should be within 18" in length)

Exception: If you run the Zapco amp at full power, you may need to run another 1/0 ga wire.
Contact Zapco to get their recommendation, and tell them the other amp you'll be using.
You'll either use the amp at 2x 600w for 1200w, or bridged for 2200w; that's a big difference.

after i get my cd player im going to see how much i have left and i might go with two rl-s 12"s
i asked about the diameter the box has to be for both kinds of subs so i know how big the box has to be....

now the idea is on where to find my vents for the box...
i do listen to alot of rap more then anything else here and there ill listen to like collective soul, skid row, metalica, nothing of a real hard rock...
build a vented box.. dont buy ports.... email mike (owner of soundsplinter) and ask him for box size recommendations.. If you aren't confident in your ability to design you own box, you could easily find someone to make you some plans for like $10 (thats what i did)...

I would tune the box to like 28 or 30hz.. it will sound great and get friggen loud and low...

thats what i read up on the 12's

Since you are going for a SQL system, i would tune low... like 28hz... I had a 15 in 3.5cf net @ 28hz and it was insane.. it wasnt overbearing or peaky... sounded great on normal music.. and when i listened to some rap, it was loud... and the low lows.. flexed my windows.. :)

im debating now on how many cubics to go the box.. bacause there are 3 different sizes for them...

so should i go with the RL-S ?? or the RL-p??

i was thinking more on lines of RL-s i believe they would handle the amp better then the rl-p but the money wise is a big differents...

problems with dimentions

im having real problems here..on how big the box should actually be and i cant seem to email mike when i do i get a board problem saying there is an error... im kinda trying to think on what to do here....

once i can get the dimensions ill be fine....

it depends on which sub you choose, and thus how much power it will see

RL-p should be setup for 600w each
RL-s should be setup for 1100w each

as said, the RL-s needs a much larger box

and of course ported is larger

look at the box sizes and response graphs here:
http://www.soundsplinter.com/rls_series/rls12_inch_LMT_DIY_car_home_subwoofer_information.html

Read the info, they make suggestions. The RL-s is recommended to use Sealed boxes, unless you are going for SPL comps, then do ported.

i finally got a hold of mike last week
i got the size of the box
RL-p12, vented boxes are generally preferred, and should be between 1.5 - 2.0 cu ft net volume per driver, tuned between 28 - 34 Hz for car audio, with a minimum of 20 square inches of port area per driver.[:D]
