wait the contour cover needs shorter bolts? i'm gonna be doing this soon so any info would be nice...

 

does anyone know what size and/or pitch the bolts are?

 

Pull one out and take it to the hardware store. Many have a thread pitch gauge, screw the bolt into it and if it goes in easily that's your size. If the hardware store sells loose nuts you can also figure it out by finding a nut that fits the bolt.

 

thats what i did when i got mine,,took it to a place called metal fasteners, they guaged it, got the length i needed,and in a stainless.they really looked good on the cover.

DUDE, just cut the ones off your zetec head, free, just a hacksaw or grinder needed.

 

^^^ If you do tat, thread a nut all the way on first. Then cut it. Ten pull the nut off, it will reform the treads somewhat... Though new bolts is better.

 

i can measure the ones i have at home and tell you the length they need to be and possibly the threading, although im not 100% positive how to measure that! i CAN, however measure the thickness etc too!

a guy on here is selling the valve cover with the grommets and bolts. i bought just the grommets and bolts from him. just look in the for sale section.

well u could go to a advance and ask them or call i know we sell them seperate and a vavle cover is gonna run ya about 21 bucks ... i have lik 4 vavle covers off contours and i kept all the bolts .. me and o6 roush r cleaning and painting to bring to focus fest ..

Alright, i'll try and do that today! I think i have a spare bolt lying around here somewhere!
