Cruising back from Dan's (focuzed1) house with my new SVT goodies, my trans started acting up. Noticed a sort of grinding or metal-on-metal rubbing a couple of times, just hitting bumps and stuff. Actually I thought there was a stick or a piece of metal hitting the drivers side front brake rotor.
Got home, checked it out, didn't see anything. Put on my SVT airbox and cranked the car up to take it for a little ride, the grinding started at idle, and it wouldn't go into reverse. I finally managed to get it in gear and back it out of the driveway, it didn't actually grind when I stuffed it in gear. It just didn't want to go in. I got down the road 50 feet and tried to shift to 2nd, no luck. I stopped the car and it actually kept rolling just a little bit on its own, kinda like the clutch wasn't fully disengaged, still making the weird noise. The T/O bearing has been making noise lately but it always does that when it's cold outside. I've also noticed that it's been kinda hard to get it into 4th sometimes over the last week or two.
I checked the brake fluid level and it's full.
So, uh, what do I do? Change the trans fluid or something? I got nothing here.
