Hey guys,

Just thought I'd say G'day from Brisbane. I've got a 2002 Focus Zetec 2.0 3dr hatch and have had it since new (6 yrs now). Would you believe it is still stock standard!

I've recently topped 100,000 kms and the faults are starting to show. The problem here in oz though is Ford charges a damn fortune for spares - I just got quoted $700 to replace the thermo housing & $350 for each wheel bearing, both of which I'm now trying to source online. (looking at Euro Car parts and FordPartsUk.com) Are there any other reputable sellers that will ship overseas?

Can anyone tell me which model I have (in the UK lineup). In Australia it's simply the Zetec and I believe in the U.S. it's called a ZX3.

Well the thermo housing is now in and only took about an hour to fit.[woot] The old housing was well and truly wasted - right around where the seal fits had totally disintegrated. I actually remember mentioning a coolant leak to the Ford mechanics when they serviced it earlier this year and just found that all they did was put silicone around the thermostat seal! Money well spent on that one.[scratch]

Oh well, now I just gotta fit the rear bearings this weekend. Is it a necessity to have a press to remove the old bearings? I'm hoping our depot workshop might have one.
