What is the best way to remove relays? Wow, those things are tight.

With a tight grip and lots of wiggling for over 5 minutes I managed to get one out. The others hardly budge. And I'm reluctant to put a pair of pliers on them.

The fuse/relay box is clean and has no moisture. The contacts on the relay that I was able to remove are clean and shiny. So it isn't corrosion that is making this difficult; just tight connections. After I put that one relay back in and tried to remove it again, same thing.

Hoping there is a trick for doing this.

if i dont have pliers available i use a cheap plastic spudger (plastic pry tool) if you decap a relay just pop the cap back on if you break one of the tabs that lock it in place a drop of superglue on the 4 corners of the lid will stick the lid back on the base of the relay if its still good

You commonly pull them when checking circuits, often testing involves bypassing one with it out of place.

It's actually good when they come out hard but not when you break them of course. The tighter they are the better the spade contact does not melt the thing.
