Unsure how to hook up the wastegate. There are 2 nipples on it. one on top and one on bottom of the diapram i assume. Assuming the spring inside is 8pound spring and i want to run 8 psi. Would i just hook the boost line to the bottom of the diaphram?. If so when if the top hose used?

I don't think it matters what brand, but you hook the vac line up to the bottom port. You leave the top port open. This is unless you are running an electronic boost controller.

You don't vent the top with most EBCs that I've heard of. It needs both references because it has customizable boost control. A manual boost controller doesn't always hold peak boost to red line. Provided that your wastegate is ample for your application, an EBC can offer much better boost control and can help the wastegate not crack open too early, among other things.

Ah ok. Thought I remember someone saying you absolutely had to hook the Greddy Type-S up to both lines.

That is what i have. hmm could explain the reverse boost issues i was having and it not working basically at all. Then again i had it hooked up like an external wastegate according to the manual.

Yea i was using it setup like an external, so im assuming i needed 2 hoses. Would explain why it basically wasnt working. I can just switch it over to the internal with one hose then maybe. Wow i would feel stupid if that was it.
