In all seriousness, I marvel at Ford's engineering prowess with this engine, but they could have tossed an engine cover over it. It hurts to look at.

 

OOOOWWWWWCH! haha. yea, you do have a beautiful engine. especially when they are painted. i just drool when I see what can be done with an engine cover [8)]

 

There are way to many wires to hide. That pic reminded me of how much a PITA my header install is going to be.

 

Yeah, our engine bay looks messy or cluttered... it kinda makes me crazy, but I try not to think of it!

 

It looks like 25 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag.

hey i like the way the 2.3 looks. especially the early PZEV engines with the aluminum cam cover. My zetec I had looked worse in my opinion

seriously my friend and i were looking under my hood(the car you sickos) the other day and he looked at me and said, "Dude your car looks like its on a respirator!" I almost fell off my feet laughing[rofl]

 

Hmm.... an engine cover could be a simple thing from some sheet metal... I'm sure a comercial product will be available eventually, but why not try to fabricate your own? I'd bet a creative person, mechanically inclined could make one pretty easy.

i think some one makes a faux carbon fiber cam cover dont they? still crap running everywhere though. i go into a stare looking at it or when i try to follow a wire or hose.
