I own a 2001 focus 2.0 zetec and was wondering what the top speed was, i have got up to 120mph then it does'nt seem to go any faster and i have my foot hard down to the floor on the excellerator. Will having 121000 miles on the clock have anything to do with it. Other then the high milage the car run like new.

The american zetec can only do 108mph then the governor kicks in. I don't know about yours though
On the track, i just touched a hair over 140 mph, but that was on the track and a long straightaway!
i just looked online and what i found for american zetec was about 105 or 108.. it may just be that your is a euro focus.. sorry if that didn't help

on an american zetec, the only way to actually remove the governer is a tune, and there isn't a need unless ur into racing. you shouldn't ever hit that high on the streets!!
I've barely hit over 140, but i have the power to do it! stock, i don't think its even possible, ur cams run out at about 135 mph.
unless u have the power to overcome air resistance a focus with bolts ons wont go much past 130.
