THANK YOU!!! - Tech day at Gil's House - 10/13/07

Okay ladies and gents. I cleared my schedule and have Saturday, October 13th, off. What does this mean? You know....Tech day.

10am is the arrival time. 10am till I kick everyone out. So, think about what you need done. Oil change, tranny fluid change, suspension, whatever. Bring $5 and I will hook up the food and the drinks.

Let me now who will attend so I know what to expect and how much goodies to buy before you fanatics get here. Also, this will allow me to make a list of who needs to do what to their car so we can make sure everyone gets their car worked on.

If you need my address or phone number, PM me. If you would like to bring your girlfriends, wives, and or kids, then do it. My wife and kids will be here. I have a good size back yard.

I live in Ontario, Ca. For any newbies, you are more than welcome. Don't be shy. This is a focus community. There are a few of us who are already friends and have knowledge busting these cars apart and putting them back together. We would love to expand the local focus community.

If there is something I may have missed or you have input, then post it sucka.

Hope to see a big turnout.

I may have to move my apartment that weekend, but if I don't I will be there.

I have a bunch of things to do...
cams/valvesprings, UDP, cossie IM, finish the nitrous kit install, that's all I can think of right now.

What I don't have done in the next two weeks will be reserved for the tech-day. It might be good for the duratec guys to reserve the UDP for the tech day, eh?

Be very careful with the cams and UDP install. Unless you have done it before do not attempt it, you can have some issues with it. That goes for the cams and UDP.....the UDP is the worst of all to install if not careful. And cams can also create issues as well. It might be worth to have someone that has done it before install them...any machine shop that works on heads can help you.

I would love to come and help but we are getting ready for SEMA yet again and have to go to the track for testing.....the new 08 is nice I really like the coupe!

As long as no gets tore up, then drinking is cool.

Once we get closer to the date, I will see how many people are coming. I am craving Carne Asada. So, if everyone puts in $5, that will cover meat, beans, rice and sodas. I will take care of some of the booze too.

As always, people are more than welcome to bring community booze or food too. I have two refrigerators and two ice chests. Let’s just say I am always prepared. If someone isn’t down with Carne Asada, I can also pick up some chicken.

Anyway, once it gets closer to the tech day, I will finalize things with everyone. If anyone wants to bring anything else, that is cool too. Just let me know so I can make a list. Let’s make this as big a gathering as possible.

Any questions or suggestions, then post away…WHORES!

GIL

You can search around and here of some horror stories when not done properly! As of yet I will not do the UDP because the gains are not worth the risk, on the zetec it is a different story. You can make more power doing other stuff instead of the UDP. One major problem we have had is that because the pulley is aluminum and the gear for the sensor is steel so guess what happens when it gets hot!!!!!!! we have had them come apart and that spells trouble....I am not saying it will happen all the time but it can happen....
