Here starts build thread V2...pictures and less chatter I hope. While staying on topic.

LETS GET TO IT!!

So Betsy was bought back in February of 2012, and was the first car I owner myself. She is a 2002 Ford Focus Se and had 24,000 miles on her when I first bought her. It was a grocery getter for an old couple all it's life and have reason to believe it had never been pushed over 55 mph.

Currently there are 67,000 miles on the ol car and rising everyday! Being a college student I am a fan on MPG over Power, so my mods revolve around that concept.

Current exterior mods and upgrades
-shorter antennae
-KYB Excel G shocks and Struts
-M2 Lowering Springs
-30% tint all around and 5% windshield strip
-Plastidip
-Niteshade
-Custom SRI
-Installation of fog lights
-AVS In-Channel Rain/Wind Deflectors
-LED's in Tails
-Fumoto Oil Plug
-Debadged

Current interior mods
-Weathertech floor mats
-JVC Arsenal HU
-Infinity Reference speakers
-Center console without arm rest
-Red LED dome light
-UV LED footwell lights
-Rear red LED lights
-Vinyl door handles

You all like pictures more than anything else. You will get your fill here!
When I first got the car I had no way of taking photos except for my iPod, have upgrades since then but pictures from when I first got her are few.

This car was parked outside, never been waxed, vacuumed, all around a mess. Body wise it was missing the PS mirror, but those are only $20 for motorized YES!

For about a year nothing happened, then the mod bug hit, it didn't help that I found this site as well. College started and there went my money.

Some days the tint seems dark and others can see right through. Looking back I would have been happy with 20%, but was told I had to keep it legal.

Smacked into a construction come merging I to the highway, won't get Into that. Had to replace the PS mirror....again.

Visual mods hit next, enter plastidip and niteshade

This stuff was used on the interior too.

Had a funny story about shooting a mouse nest out my tailpipe so decided to check the air filter, first time I had ever done that.

And well...we'll let you decide.

Was it needed, desperately.
Debadging was the next job, her butt looks so much nicer now.

Then a package arrives one day with a goodie inside.
due to be oiled soon though. Have seen at least a 1 mpg increase, as long as I keep my foot off the pedal.

Headlight cleaners really work!

Then this happened at around 56,000 miles

Broke ma dern coil spring on PS!!!

One thing led to another, bought some much needed lowering springs from eBay, KYB shocks and struts and M2 lowering springs. Ride is a little gather but it makes you more aware of the road.

More light was needed, leading to this. Found a factory fog light install kit on eBay for $98, it's all OEM with serial numbers and dates it was made. Weekend warrior project. Am aggravating one too. Decided to put yellow lights in them.

Now except for dabbling with black wheels, the exterior is up to date. Interior is where all the action has been!

Progression for footwell lights and interior lights.

Project insued for more lighting

With the flip of a switch and an Add-a-fuse,
I control the lighting. The fuse it shared with the running lights, so they have to be on for the lights to be on. If I forget I know I always then the running lights off.

Painted my HU buttons, cause light was too bright.

Black light makes my girlfriends shoes light up real nice!

Who doesn't like a picture of everything I have replaced?

Always wanted a custom tailight overlay, but could never find one. EbayPro gets recognition here lol. So with some electrical tape and exacto knife. I made my own. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=478378

Unless I have forgotten something. This is how she is today. Thanks for reading. Let me know what you think.

To install still
-glossy black vinyl
-Euro part
-plastidip roof with glossifier
-looking for exhaust and 91 escort gt heater
And mustang TB
-strut mounts

I wanted to have 3 more things done to it by Saturday but it's not going to happen...so I will wash her and bring it down. I'll have to show you the interior lights. I'm proud of it.

Ha no...it's staying automatic unless I win the lottery. Then I buy a stick and do all I want to it.

It really has come a long way. Looking back it's like wow, I did all that to it. I know it isn't mix but good for me.

Donor zetec or duratick plz!

If the scrap yard guy is nice hell let you take the swap parts for 350-400. Just get one that's been rear ended.

Also when does your package come in?

So package from Great Britain was shipped 2 weeks ago about. Dying for it to get here.

Was talking to RDC about putting a custom exhaust on my car, he was all for it. Just need to find a day to go up there. Seems like a real good guy. Have it done in a couple hours.

Gonna go back in the records and see when I had parts on my car fixed. Seems like a useful thing to do.

He isn't a very fast driver anyways according to him so I think he will enjoy the visual upgrade of some nice wheels more than he would a tune. What wheels are you planning on getting?
You are correct sir, speedy Gonzalez days are done for now. I would like a tune as well but not needed necessarily.

Plan on some SVT ones. Getting 5 of them, have some rash and maybe a bend or to. It will be a nice winter project to get them looking good by spring for new tires.

Im unsure what I want to do yet. If I do go that route and paint them, I will sand blast, jb weld, the whole nine yards to get it looking good again. I don't know how bad they are.

I will post up pics and maybe do a poll.

Good to see you have 500 posts, I can nominate you for ROTM now.

Definitely pays off to take your time. Haha finally hit 500 after all this time. I don't think my car will be nomination worthy until next year though. My goal is to try and make it in the running one time though.

Most likely thanksgiving break is when everything is happening.

New strut mounts
New fuel filter
Wrap some interior in vinyl
Change the blue SRI to red
Sound may cause free
Oil drain when needs new oil
Plastidip and glossify the roof

That all is going to happen.
