Software flash update for PCM to TCM, anyone?

Help!!
I've been in touch with local Ford dealer shops about this, and they plead the 5th like they know nothing of it.
The mechanical issues in my DPS6 are resolved, and the car drives okay, but it's still getting delayed-shifting even with a brand-new Motorcraft TCM that was dealer-shop installed and programmed.
Is that flash update available to the general public, and if so, how do I get the file?

You likely do not have the overhead software to operate the update to work. Not just a load, you have to perform certain actions using the Ford proprietary software. It's not a standalone update.

Thank you for that useful info - is the Ford IDS software a dealer-shop-only service?
I had my local dealer shop replace the TCM due to the recall warranty extension, but when I asked about the software updates for PCM to TCM interfacing, they acted totally clueless - as did two other dealer shops I contacted.
I've personally replaced Clutch Actuator Forks and the e-motors, and it's shifting solidly with new mechanical components, but it's still getting delayed-shifting issues... so that leads me to believe it's in need of the software updates.

Most dealerships will happily charge you an hour or more of labor to update those firmwares. I'm not sure why your local ones are playing coy. These modules can be updated yourself if you have the correct hardware and a license for Forscan (you can get a temporary one for free directly from them). Finding the correct firmware files is a little more involved, but more information can be found on Forscan's forum.

Thanks - I found out that local Ford dealer shop did the adaptive relearning programming checks when they replaced the TCM, and my issues were due to worn out clutch system components.
I replaced all of those myself, and the problems are gone. TCM and PCM relearned everything once the new clutch assembly and forks were put in, so it now drives like new.
