has anyone experience any smoking at full throttle ... ive noticed it couple time and thought it was dust and dirt from the road but i did a full throttle pull on the interstate and wow??

What color was the smoke?

I would agree, if the smoke is blue. If it's black, it's just carbon.

black smoke the first couple times then this weekend on a long drive i got white smoke . i may have found the problem when i decided to take the intake off and the PCV tube was filled with oil and the throttle body was really dirty.

My car now has 15K on it and ive been doing oil changes every 5K. Im doing one today switching to full synthetic and possibly install a oil catch can for the PCV

I definitely would do a catch can in your case. Have you noticed any out-of-the-ordinary oil consumption?

That's not extreme consumption, but more than I'm experiencing. I lose about 1/4 quart in 5K miles. Take a close look at the PCV. If the oil in there was clogging the system, or even the valve itself, it would cause high consumption.

How did you break in your engine? Did you baby it for xxxx miles?

If so...that is your problem.....you should not be losing that much oil if an engine is properly broken in

White Smoke usually means water.....hows your coolant level?

Also..go outside and check your tail pipe..if its oily...well time to take it in

i broke in the car doing street driving. i stayed away from the freeway if i could. by no means baby'n it. and there is no coolant consumption and no oil in the tail. just black soot.. lots of it.

im set on it being the pcv system thats not working too well

I would pull your plugs..check the condition.

If one of them or many of them are abnormal...compression check

Somehow shape or form...oil is being introduce into the combustion chamber...could be PCV, but usually if it that is plugged up with nastyness...it creates excess pressure in the crankcase and you will see oil seeping through

I think thats oil smoke thats what color i had out my tail at full throttle but it looks like the upper intake cleaning(run rite) and the oil catch can made from a water seperator for a 3/8 shop line worked for me. but i do still get a black puff at start up on a cold morning. but i think thats the car running rich for a second.
