Shaving ST170 bumper...what to use?

I just bought a ST170/'02 Euro Facelift front bumper from Sturge today (and made a marathon 13 hour round trip to get it...Cleveland to NYC and back again on I-80...PA needs to not be so f-ing wide) and I think this time around I'm going to shave out the license plate frame (its sized for a Euro plate) and while Ohio is a two-plate state, I've been running sans a front plate for about a year now and haven't had any greif about it from the cops, even when pulled over for unrelated reasons and then let go with a verbal warning. So I don't plan on putting my front plate back on, nor do I want to get a Euro plate (personally I think its tacky to have two different license plates on your car, and I would suspect if I put one on I probably would get harassed about it.)

I read FociFosho's thread about using SEM bumper repair kits, and while that would probably be the ideal stuff to use, I bought one back when my original ST170 bumper got a small crack in it and it was $13 shipped. Does anyone have experience using Bondo or similar products on plastic? Or is there some kind of two-part plastic repair compound that comes in something bigger than your standard two-part epoxy tube?
