would a 00-01 service manual that covers zx3s be the same setup as an 03 zx5 svt? or are there any good walk-throughs of an alternator replacement.

 

as long as you got an alternator for a zetec motor you are fine but i would get one with a lifetime warrenty!

 

not to bring up an old thread but does anyone know of any places to find a service manual for an 03 SVT? pdf, online sources, maybe even paper, etc.

 

I have one - OEM Ford for 03 including SVT about 3" thick.

it'd be nice to have the whole thing for future reference =]. My car has nothing wrong with it now but in worst case scenario a manual would be cool.

could you scan the pages that explain why my stock subwoofer doesn't work? =p

 

there are pages of tests to do - PM ur email and I get to it over the next day or so. I have the whole thing on DVD too - shame I can't get you to see the soft version!

Check on ebay. There's always a few sellers with oem ford manuals that came out of dealerships that closed up. I bought a serv manual and wiring manual for $50 plus shipping and they were like brand new! Search the ebay STORES. the std ford focus covers the svt.

only real information off the top of my head that would be useful for regular maintenance would be
for an 03 SVT

Oil Weight & Capacity
Coolant Type & Capacity
Transmission Fluid Type & Capacity
Recommended service checkups/etc. recommended maintenance cleaning/lubrication the usual tune up stuff.
Spark plug gap settings etc.

 

Has anyone found a online source that has the full shop manual in PDF form as a free download?
