3m makes the Di-noc silly

car looks good, not feeling the fart can but thats me
2 different products man, I tried the 3m version and it didn't look as good as the stuff i've seen in the Di-noc thread.

R3dline, your Honda's looked bada$$, can't wait to see what you do to your Focus[thumb]

The muffler dont look that bad from that second rear pic you posted. Looks kinda good IMHO.

People can complain about the exhaust all they want...but here's the important thing: does it sound good? If so, everyone be quiet. [thumb]

I like your previous work, too. That EK coupe is especially sexy.

thanks guys, and yes, the exhaust sounds really nice, its the best sounding car iv ever had exhaust wise.

i have a couple of ?'s if anyone know

1 . today my radio just shut its self off, i tapped it and come back on. is this normal? lol

2 . at night my lights seem to pulse, the alt was replaced so the guy before me told me anyways. but he was older and i have the receipt

any answers or suggestions would be very helpful

welcome to FF. the focus community likes to mostly stick to the euro style focus' as they are more appealing to look at. lol. but like stated, ur car, ur money, do as u please. hope u enjoy ur stay here man. lots of info on this forum.

Was the key in the ignition on Acc or run?

First gen Foci (I don't know about later models but it doesn't really matter here) have a feature where the radio can be turned on without the key in the ignition. The radio will stay on like this for an hour or whatever time it's set on.

If it's turning off while the car is running or when the key is on Acc, you have a problem somewhere.

my radio does the same thing man. i have the same exact car but its a 2000. i have to hold the 5 preset button for a few secs for mine to cut back on haha. hopefully i''m replacing mine soon. corner fast and see if the sound fluctuates from side to side with the front speakers haha. nice car. my inspiration :p

Sounds like there may be something loose behind the radio. Thats one of the first things that got replaced in my car because they were known for eating cd's. As for lights pulsing...which lights? Interior lights or actual headlights? My interior lights dim when im stopped but brighten back up when on the gas.

the radio must just be about to crap out,

as for the lights pulsing, its all the lights, dash lights, interior lights, headlighs, etc while the car is running, when you cut the car off it quits, i messed with the plug on top of the alternator while it was running in my driveway and it seemed to stop, maybe a bad plug, or............... who knows lol

could be the ground wire.. i would check the basics. especially if the alternator was replaced who knows what wire could be exposed... welcome dude!

I think the problem might be that little theft deterent part of the radio coming loose. Mine did that a while back and thats what it ended up being.

yep, boost you are correct, it was indeed that . at lunch i was just sitting in the car, and i pressed that little button . then i got in the car to go home, and the radio was off i clicked the numbers back in and moved that little button and bam radio was on.

as for my other problem. i beleive its also solved. had my car checked out today and everything was great except for a "voltage regulator failure". so i guess this weekend im gonna attempt to get that damn alternator out (wish us luck) from what iv seen its 0 fun.

anyone have any tips or tricks on birthing that bastard out>??

When i replaced my alternator last month, the easiest way i found to do it was to take off the passenger motor mount where it mounts to the body with the 3 bolts and use a jack under the motor or an engine hoist and slowly pull the passenger corner of the engine forward as far as you can. Also move the power steering and coolant reseviors (leave hoses connected) outta the way toward the front of the engine. Just twist the alternator physically until it comes out. It sounds alot harder than it really is.

were gonna find out!! hahaha. whats up gary, whats up forum focus? this is actually my first post. like gary said we just got our cars, and ive been anxious to get under the hood. ill be posting some pics up of mine pretty soon, i havent been in too much of a hurry cause its bone stock at the moment. My magnaflow exhaust and trubenz tubing is here, im just waiting on the tip. So far tho my focus driving experience has been good, but i cant wait to let this thing breathe alittle. Gary, were gonna give it hell sunday morning! lol
