Quick question (changing tire)

why do manual transmissions have to park their cars in reverse when changing a tire???
I saw that on the jack this morning and was like WTF?!
I would think that parking in 1st would be better...well, if you were doing the rear...

You dont really have to but its more of a precaution. I just pull it in the driveway and put blocks under the tires and but it in gear with the hand brake on if in changing the front or if the rear just put it in gear and put blocks under the car tires

because reverse gear is lower then first. therefore causing more force to move the vehicle then in first.
