Im thinking about replacing the dome and map light with some white LED lights, is this really worth it or are the stock lights just as bright?

the green led 194s dont light up a damn thing in the cluster. since it spreads the light outward, thus spreading the light all underneath the gauge face. no pic necessary. it would look the same if there werent bulbs there at all. the 194s are there soley to light up the needles.

The SVT gauge faces are electroluminecent... they don't use bulbs. Only the needles use bulbs, and those are replaceable. The problem with some SVTs is the bulb for the needles cause a little halo to leak out around the base of the needles. Scrammer changed his to green LEDs so there wouldn't be a halo anymore.

so i just got my map lights in the mail from v-leds. they do look sweet and i like them, but they are NOT brighter than the stock light bulbs. i just ordered the dome light.

What kind of bulbs did you order? The really bright ones are the SMD ones, and you can't get directional LED's for the map lights, you gotta get ones with the LED's pointed in all directions.
