Popping sound when releasing clutch

When I release the clutch it grabs and then makes a popping noise. I replaced the dog bone mount because it was bad and hoped maybe it'd take care of the noise, but unfortunately its still there. Its kind of a violent pop sounding noise
mainly heard in the cab. Here are some videos.

The first is before the dog bone mount:

and this is after:

This video is with the car off just spinning the passenger wheel and holding the drivers side:

Car off with the car in first gear is the worst:

Turn the sound up its kind of hard to hear over the engine noise. The clutch doesn't feel too bad, it isn't slipping. But it does seem like it's grabbing harder or something. Only seems to happen when I release the clutch in gear.

Any thoughts?

It's the most noticeable when releasing the clutch in first or shifting to second.

It also happens if I don't touch the clutch:
If i hit the gas and stay in first then instantly release the gas the car will kind of jerk back and forth with a knocking sound.

This has to be something inside the transmission, but I have never worked on a tranny. From what I'm reading maybe the throwout bearing?

If it was the ball joint why would it happen when on jack stands? I am wondering about the CV axles though I'm going to examine them more thoroughly as I did clean up some grease a while back and they are still original

Just added a video, this one is just turning the wheels with the car off.

The noise definitely feels like its inside the transmission, right where the cv axle inserted.

I know with throwout bearing its like a slight rattling till clutch has been compressed, though I know my early gear shifts can be a tad noisy as well. Never noted the rattling till I had to jack the motor some to do a idler pulley replacement. Had it quick checked back in the summer, was told the motor mounts had dry rot and could use replacement and throwout bearing was a tad noisy, but most times I hear its best to wait till clutch needs replacement unless the sound really gets to you or have the extra money/time. Also will admit higher RPM first gear gas release when staying in gear will do the same thing will be jerky and noisy. LOL I try my best to get to second as I hate how my first gear plays out unless in the lower rpm ranges. The shop did not note any actual transmission issues at the time, being I have not gotten a new clutch yet and these issues are still in play can not note for sure. I would note to also try to listen closely when in neutral, do you hear anything then pressing the clutch do you hear anything less. If you hear less or its more quiet, then more then likely your throwout bearing is starting to be a issue. Hope you find a resolution for your issues.

PS: mine has close to 250k and last owner used to tow stuff with car, so some of my issues I left to harder early gear use LOL.

Did you check out the last video I posted? I think that one is the most relevant. I'm thinking it's no longer the throw out bearing and something more serious. It's happening now if I press the gas then release the gas while in first gear. Car will jerk bath and forth with that loud noise found in the last video. I don't think it has anything to do with the clutch pedal action itself. It sounds more like if there was a gap in between the gears and when they engaged the tooth from one gear hits another gear with a loud pop.

Will admit here, I am not that knowledgeable within the systems or a mechanic by no means. Most of my thoughts come from prior issues and ends results or repairs needed to correct them. Manual Transmissions are rather durable as long as properly maintained and sometimes even not so. The only other thing I can even think of and not even sure if its relevant is something within the driveshaft. Hoping someone can give you a good idea or worse comes to worse, could take it to a transmission shop to have it checked and if you think you can do the repair, then just pay for the diagnosis and do the work yourself. I am guessing you have already checked the Transmission fluid by now.

Yeah may have to just run it to a shop. Before I do that I'm probably gonna pull the CV axles and see if I can pin point it a little better. I unscrewed the transmission screw and the fluid looked like honey, didn't smell bad or anything. I changed it 40k miles ago.

Soooo I have been having this same issue, however it was really only when I went from reverse into 1st with my 5spd. Haven’t heard it in a long time but definitely a horrible pop! Noise like you’re describing.
