No sound from speakers

Hi all,

Just brought a MK3 with the standard ford audio system. As far as I can tell the radio is tuned in and playing just no sound coming through the speakers. I believe the system is working as I can connect my phone via Bluetooth and I can see the song name that's playing and how long for but just no sound.

I have a suspicion that it's related to the car being jump started when I took it for a test drive, I guess it had been sitting for a while.

Does any one have any thoughts to get this fixed, I love the car it's just awful driving with no music haha.

Have you checked all radio related fuses?

Thanks for reply. Yeah, according to the manual 78 and 63 are related to the multimedia system and both are fine.

Did you check all the related fuses with a DMM or did you just visually inspect them?
These types of fuses can appear to be ok, but are actually open circuit when checked for continuity.

Sounds like an amp issue. There's probably a fuse on the back of the unit itself as well. Can anybody confirm?

My prior MK3, a 2012 the radio would cut out/no sound once in awhile.
I never got it fixed.
If I would hit the power button after taking out a CD (because the radio is five times louder than a CD for the same damn setting) the whole thing would stop working for awhile.

Try using a CD to play?

Hi guys I got a mk1 ford focus 1 owner from new its like new 80.000 miles the radio and cd player works but no sound out speakers and I'm no good at all with cars can any one point in in some directions. Its completely original it's the 1.4 16v Lx modal
