its all sheetmetal actaully. Took me and my pops like 6 or 7 hours to get it to that point. Lots of work, and spot welding and what not.

and trust me, this thing is ALOT more sturdy then the garden stuff.

and the lip maybe at most weighs 3lb after paint and with brackets on.

so it weighs barely anything.

i didn't think sheet metal was that heavy. how thick is it, bout a 1/4"?

 

I think it looks great how it is in black. If it was orange like the rest it wouldn't stand out as much.

I think its probably about 1/16". 1/4" would be at least 10lbs if it was steel.

 

its like 16 gauge sheet metal. and 3lb is being generous. the mounting brackets are 10 gauge pieces

so thats most of it. heh
