I think it would look better leaving it carbon fiber or painting it all... Not a big fan of the scheme because the rest of the car doesnt follow it... JMO! gl chosing.

i think it's great...the black hood strip really puts out every other black piece on the car. I'm not a big fan of having all black hood.

I've thought about doing that same exact scheme if i had ever gotten a cf hood. But since i most likely won't cause i don't care as much for cf anymore I say go for it

IF it was me I would paint it all red except the section that is intended and back to the window. It would have a "W" effect to the hood with the red.

 

Do it, I'm doing that type of thing with my CF hood in a couple weeks.

 

ive never been a fan of cf. but this looks good. i like it cause its not just cf hood slapped on your car. just make sure you know a good painter so you dont have 2 paint it again.

dude i like it, its unique. have you thought of putting a red striped in between the two vents? That might look pretty cool. I like that you photoshopped it first so you know how it will basically look and you wont waste money.

yes, focusdarko, I have shopped that as well but think that it was too aggressive with the stripe pattern.

I have shopped pretty much any imaginable combo and this is the most civilized one I like

it will be painted by a professional autobody shop that also redid the clearcoat [thumb]
my mother knows them personally. (Wiley's Autobody in West Chester, PA) PLUG........

Sure thing, go for it! I also thought, if you wanted something "different", you might try something like this (excuse the crudeness, I did a quick 'shop job here):

 

this would be it by far ....materials shouldnt cost any more and the labor is a couple sprays more it shouldnt be to much.....firm believer in do it right the first time

hmm, thats the only thing i've ever seen that looks half tasteful, I say go ahead, i have no beef with it. i do hate exposed carbon fiber but this is executed cleanly so thats good.
