Need TCM Capacitor Specs

My daughter has a 2014 Ford Focus and Ford has said we needed to replace the TCM and they are over 68,000 on backorder the guy at ford said they have been waiting 10 months for the oldest order. With these lead times I was looking for alternative methods to get the car back on the road. I choose to try to get the TCM repaired but both times failed after installing it. This time I decided to crack open the case myself to see if there was anything visibly wrong. When I did crack it open the big capacitor that is siliconed into the lid was shorted directly to the case when I tried to straighten that capacitor so it would make contact to the board the lead broke.
I am hoping someone can provide the details of the specs on the capacitor for me! Can anyone help?

I have been unable to locate anything with the same numbers.

The numbers are

I did remove it all the way and the same numbers are repeated no mention of voltage or capacitance anywhere. I did take it apart to solder the pins but when the capacitor lead was shorted to the case and I tried to straighten it the lead broke off. Now I have to replace the capacitor.

That sounds like the original tcms that are faulty and not revisions. The capacitors like to stay fused to the opposite side when cracking it open. On the revisions they dont get stuck like that. And the issue is usually not that capacitor, does not hurt to replace it. The issue usually the compliant pin connectors. You may get lucky by soldering them in place and have a working TCM.

I am more confident in the fact that this is 2200uf capacitor but I am having a hard time determining if it is 25vdc or 40vdc. I keep finding source that show both voltages with the same part number. Anyone out there that might be able to steer me to a trust worthy source?

Says high temp (125 C).

IDK much about automotive capacitors or their heat tolerance. The few I browsed were expensive, $25 or so. Not sure why, unless they must meet higher heat requirements.

If so, beware of fire.

Case size might be a problem. The OEM cap is 18x38mm but the Vishay MAL212017222E3 is 21mm dia. Kemet part PEG227KKP4220ME4 is 16x35mm, has very good specs, and it’s working in my TCM. Mouser.com has it in stock for $7.09.

I just purchased a remanufactured TCM on eBay. It worked for my car after adaptive learning with Forscan of course. I'd been waiting for a dealer to get one as well and got fed up. The one I got cost about $450 but it was form a highly rated seller, shipped from the US, and claims to have a 2 year warranty. Just a thought.

So far Ive replaced both Clutch motors with new ones I got on amazon for around $50 each, cleaned several ground wires, even ran my own ground wire directly bolted to the TCM, and got a supposidly "remaned" TCM, cleared codes, had battery disconnected for over an hour and relearned the shift/clutch stuff with a snapon tool, BUT no luck same intermittent issue. In the middle of these attempted fixes it did work for a lil over a day so I thought it was fixed for a moment but it was a flook, still broken, returned the amazon TCM.

Saw a video about soldering the unsoldered connections in the TCM so i opened my TCM it was visually in perfect condition nothing burnt or corroded. I sent my TCM to a circuit board guy to test what he could like resistors/caps etc not the complex chips tho, all tested good then solder the connectors and put it back in, disconnected battery for several minutes, cleared the codes with both a cheapo scan tool and the snapon scan tool. Then again did all the TCM relearns shift/clutch and some 3rd one i forgot what it was called on the snapon screen. Its Working now for over 2 days so I'm hoping this fix is final. I'm praying hard that God or the solder fixed it!

I know this is a older thread but was wondering if replacing the capacitor made any difference or at least bought you a little more time since as of august 29, 2024 they still claim the replacement tcm's are on back order. any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
