my first project...sorry not a focus

well i havent been around in a while or updating with car show pics cause i didnt enter any this year. and the reason for that is i was busy wit my first project. my freinds dad was junking his 94 golf thats been sitting for bout a year unused. i told him i would like to fix it up so his dad was cool enuff to give it to me for nothin. so around febuary i started working on it. it wasent runnin so i had to get it flat bed towed to my house. did a full tune up replaced fuel filter pcv valve and couple other parts as well as batt and got her runnin. it needed alot of body work and body pieces from donor cars. got all the pieces i needed did all the body work myself lowered it on h&r ultra low coilovers got a magnaflow exaust. bought some e30 bottelcap rims that were all bent and curbed. did all work on them painted them black first then green. interior i left stock for now but i got big plans for it. had to buy a skid plate for her cause she is just too low. i cant even make it up all driveways and bottom out on speed bumps. as for the color i choose it cause i just wanted something that wasent stock on any car and turned heads....and some stomachs. so i came up with this purple that my paint guy mixed up for me. then i decided to hit it with a matte finishes. just to macho it up a little bit if i could. the hood got alittle messed up so i have to repaint that in a couple of weeks. but all in all its good and fun to drive around. it gets soooo many looks and laughs and smiles. its my new daily driver and i love it. my first paint job and ive learned so much bout body and paint. cant wait to start workin on my race car this winter. im rebuilding the engine and giving it a full paint job. write up on that projct will be coming soon stay tuned. heres some pics enjoy.

nice, i think the mirrors being body color though is just a bit much for me... id love to see them blacked out to not stick out like such a sore thumb...
wheels arent my taste but rock em if you dig em.

How did you straighten your rims, you mentioned that they were all bent up and that you did all the work..just curious what you did.

it would be better if it was super glossy. I know you put a lot of work into it but it looks like a really cheap maaco job right now. sand it cut it buff it!
