Just go with the MBRP. Its one of the best systems for the Focus and its really cheap too. Its win-win. Theres not but a 1-2hp difference between Borla, Magnaflow, and MBRP...from what I've heard/read on the forums.

 

I also want to get a MBRP. Nothing can beat that price. But i think i should get intake before i get an exhaust. Does it make sense to buy an intake before exhaust? or does it not really matter? I just want to get that MBRP before they get discontinued or sold out.sumting like that. Thats my biggest concern.

 

I bought my intake before the exhaust...but I dont think it really matters. What would be even better is if you bought both of them at the same time.

 

Get the MBRP (can't beat the price). Pick up a Magnaflo reasonator like the one from C-F-M and add it to the MBRP. Now you will have a Stealth like exhaust, all stainless, for less.

 

Have you considered Tru-Bendz? They can make you an exhaust with the borla muffler and mandrel bent 2.5 tubing just like a borla, cept with a less attractive tip. You can also get 2.25 or (god forbid) 3 inch if you wish, and they can also weld in a magnaflow resonator if you opt for it.

heres my deal ... I FINALLY decided on a Focus Sport Stealth, turns out they are SOLD OUT!

Now, Borla is WAY TOO much...

Not that familiar with magnaflow or MBRP, although MBRP are on sale for 199!!!! im just making sure they are worth it...

I know i know.... Everyone has their opinion I RESPECT that. Put yourself in my shoes..
Would you::
a) wait for FS stealth system
b) get a magnaflow (which is the most popular on this forum)
c) Get a MBRP (keep in mind its 199)
or
d) try somthing new and go for a STEEDA

If your planning to run a race header (full exhaust) and don't want to be loud, wait for the FS Stealth System.

Magnaflow is a good choice.

MBRP is very good (will be louder then most catback systems and louder with a race header but dealable) and it's very very hard to beat that price. This is what I went with so you know.

The STEEDA catback is a rebadged BORLA catback so your really just paying for the STEEDA name if you get this.

 

Wait and get the FS Stealth it's the one you really want and if you settle for your second choice you'll be kicking yourself from this day forward.

 

well all im getting is a shorty header (due to emissions) I really dont wanna be loud, i want a low deep rumble.

so Shorty + High flow cat + exhaust (unless i move some place where they have no or low emissions)

I really believe this is the best advice. Don't be impatient. Most of us don't have the money to get everything we want right here right now. When I layed out a budget and timeline for my car the end product was 3 years away. Take your time. Save your money. Get what you want. Don't settle.

 

i wanted a borla, but like you said it was a litte pricey and i came across the MBRP and i love it!, its been said already you can't beat the price, and it sounds awesome!! but its your money do what you want!

I when with magnaflow, but should of went with something else. just get what you want to get and never settle. wait it out for 3 weeks you'll enjoy it better

 

Quick note:: Hows the Bosal Exhaust? is too ricey or just suxx?

 

I haven't heard the Bosal personally myself but there are a couple members on here that have it. It's definitely not a very common system but from what I can tell it's good quality.

 

I would get the MBRP. Good quality, great price, great sound.

In all honestly the name THD doesn't even ring a bell with me. To my knowledge, nobody even on this forum has it, I can't think of anyone and with the amount of time I spend on here that says ALOT.

I'd stick with MBRP man... if those are your two choices.... [thumb]
