I just ordered a Magna flow- going on monday or tues - the website has great sound clips - I love Borla- but for a Benz or BMW - after a year of research, I chose Magna flow- great deal, polished stainless etc.. I also HATE raspy jap sounding exhaust - think I made the right choice - check out the magna website- listen to clips - feel free to PM me later next week for hands on report

 

will the resonator make it sound deeper, gain/lose hp?

 

Go Borla, it's not "Jap", and it sounds very nice with my SVT header and cat. It's 2.5 in diameter. I imagine it'll sound great with the 2.3.

 

Borla all the way... The magna flow is nice, but the Borla sounds better, makes more power ( slightly ), and will last longer.

I know you have a Duratec but I had a Magnaflow on my Zetec and it sounded horrible and rusted! I've had my Borla on for almost 2 years, no rust and nice deep sound which it looks like you are looking for[thumb]

Is it true that borla's mufflers don't fit the duratec sedans because their muffler cavity is too small? Trubendz told me then when requesting a quote on a cat-back system. I don't like magnaflow enough to go and buy a cat-back with their muffler welded on it. I most likely am going to go custom if this is true.

 

It fit my hatch, that's all I can tell you.

Everyone is just going to recommend the brand they have on their car.. unless they had more than one (ZX3_Chick)

If you have a 2.3 duratec, Yes it will fit your car.

I have had three systems, MBRP, Magna Flow, and Borla. Borla without a doubt man.

I definetly want to hear a sound clip when you get it done.
Apparently the MBRP don't fit the '07 ST's, well, without major mods to hangers and stuff , so Borla might be the way for me to go also this spring [thumb]

 

Gravterm if you haven't already, check out the Duratec Exhaust clips thread in here, there's a bunch that may help you decide, and all duratec so you know roughyl what yours would be like.

I would recommend the Borla, but like Algorhythm said, it's the only one I've had.

 

Go with the borla...i love the sound of it.

It sounds mean at lower rpms and is near quite on the highway.

Bought mine about 3 weeks ago for about 330 shipped

I have a magnaflow setup on my SE and I love it, although its all custom so it sounds different. If your just going with a kit go Borla.

I had magnaflow on my last one and honestly it sounded OK but not near as deep or anywhere near the tones of borla or FS.

 

I have a MagnaFlow and I would go with Borla. If you go through and look at the above posts you'll see all the Foci people who have had their Foci for a while will tell you go with the Borla. That should tell you something.
