This has started happening within the last month or so (04 SVT with Tom's basic tune).
Before:
The engine would rev a little high (typical of the Focus) and then come back down. With Tom's tune, I think it would rev a little higher but would always come back down.
Now:
The engine doesn't initially rev as high upon cold start...maybe 1500, then it will come back down to normal levels. Once I drive around a bit, the engine acts normal after I start it up. It looks like it only happens after the car has been sitting over night.
So today I went to move my car and I got the same thing, low rpm during cold startup. I pressed the gas while in neutral and the engine sputtered and almost stalled. After a few times pressing the gas, it seemed to rev fine. (Although I just moved it slightly to get a piece of wood under the front wheel so I could jack the car up).
What do you all think?? Fuel system related?? Fuel filter was replaced a year ago. I sure as sh!t hope it's not the fuel pump.
