Yes, most of us are from the surrounding areas of Cincinnati. I am in Amelia, about 45 minutes from Harrison on a good day without heavy traffic.

 

Yeah.... most of the guys live East.... but I am here on the far west side of Colerain Twp, near Miamitown....

FocusFactor was started by my brother (furiouslyfaster), myself, and three other guys that no longer post here. In the early days we went to several shows and cruise-ins together and gradually picked up people here and there. Met a lot of interesting people.

As of today, I can speak for 4 of the original members, and they no longer have foci. At least three of them(that I know of) have Mustangs and are members of other Mustang boards, Stangbangerz.com is one of them which is local to Cincy.

As you can tell I still post here, as well as my brother, as we are both moderators of this local forum.

For those of you who dont know, I had a 2003 SVT Focus, that I turboed and did a lot of work, and spent a lot of money on. I learned a crap ton of stuff about these cars, however that was an expensive way to learn!

My brother had a 2001 S2 ZX3, he did a lot of stuff too, primarily bolts ons, but he learned a lot as well.

Just a little history lesson.

Umm I met up with these guys in late '09 when I had gotten bored and started looking for stuff to do to my car. I met them at a Cruisein at Kroger in Milford. I post alot of stupid shit here mainly... more into Audio then Speed unlike the mustang Traitors lol just kidding Nick and Phill .

 

well i mainly got on here to see if i was really alone wit the whole focus deal lol. once i started modding my focus (started with the exhaust) i gotta lot of crap for it. The more crap i got the more stuff i decided to do. eventually i became hooked and i can say i love my little focus lol. i was however curious to see if anyone else out there had the same mindset as me to mod a focus and was really happy to find this site. i got even more excited when i found out that there are some of you that live (figuratively) right up the street from me lol. i hope to be able to go to a meet someday so i can meet you all face to face. im going to try to make it to the meet in columbus in april but idk for sure if not i will def see you all in august at FocusFest

 

I was that way with Audio in the Focus ... people gave me crap for having sony xplod subs in my car until I successfully did a 141.4DB on a TL meter on less than 400 watts Rms . Plus my Focus used to be a Flat Lime Green haha . now its tamed in a Satin black oh and Im like 20 minutes from ZetecDon and several other members

 

yea soon as i had the fart can i was givin crap for how it sounded then was given crap for wanting to put a sound system in mine ive not yet gotten there yet cept for the head unit (which is sony xplod) but the exhaust has gotten better since its straight pipe now and this spring will be side exit again. id like to put a flame kit on it too. yea you all are like 20-30 min away from me lol

Ive always thought of a flame kit but i guess i considered it somewhat rice. If you decide what system you want to run hit me up and Ill give you some pointers on getting the most out of what you have

 

Ah, I have never paid mind to anyone that talks shit about modifying a Focus. It is just like modifying any other platform. But if you are wanting monster horsepower numbers you may as well go for the larger engine platforms to turbo. I just modify my cars to suit my needs and tastes. I change from year to year so my car is always evolving into something else. For example...I have had 5 different front bumpers, 3 rear bumpers, 4 side skirts, 3 sets of wheels, 3 different grills, 4 sets of headlights, two different exhausts etc... I think you get the picture here. But how my car sits currently is covered in dust in a garage lol. But this is how it looks some what now.

 

I am the autocrosser of our group. Car is mainly modified for autocross. Next season start less than month and a half away.

 

Dont forget...tire and carbon fiber expert of the group!

BTW, Jacob, I was a Mustang guy long before I had a Focus. I had four Mustangs before any of my three Foci!

@02Zetechse im not too sure the system i want just yet. ive ran millions of ideas around. but right now my main concern is the exhaust (getting done this spring) and the exterior id like to get some allows on it and lower it some.

 

@zetecDon i love the car lol. although im not too big of a fan of the dull exhaust except for on muscle. but i must say it looks pretty good on your focus

 

You will think different about his exhaust after you hear it. Beautiful sounding.

Geez, someones a little sensitive, and by the way my SVT is the only car out of the group that has actually been on a road course for a two day event. And don't get me started on my feelings towards drag racing and focus.

But yes K26 is my other brother, the only one that has a focus now, and its a pretty good looking car! Funded by taking and or selling parts he got from or his other brother! [poke]

It had a tune,an ORP,and I think a short throw.....It rained on one day and I was passing Mustangs in the turns...

 

i cant wait to hear it. it looks like it would sound pretty good. hows the setup? like did you convert to dual? or is that just a one in two out kind of deal?
