it is a really bad idea to put out a loan for an aftermarket part. You will be paying alot more than you need to depending on APR. best bet just to put 10 or 20 dollars in a seperate account to save for it. you will regret getting a loan for it.

i wasn't asking for financial advice, but thanks.

credit cards have been doin this years, financing provided for things you dont need but you want, and they finance worse things then car parts!!

Like lap dances!

Just do like I did, help a buddy install a turbo on his car and when he blows the motor from running it before tuning it, convince him to just give you all of his turbo stuff!

Financing ANYTHING is not a good thing but you gotta do what you gotta do.

It's funny that people say not to finance performance parts but people finance(with bank) performance cars and also finance wheels, electronic equipment and various other other items on their credit cards that usually yeild more than a 10% interest rate.

To me, if you bought a Focus at $10,000 at 5% interest and got an FI kit for $3-5K @ 5-10% interest for a 2-3 year period, I don't see the harm. I would basically look at the financed $3-5K part as an addition to the car that I couldn't aford at the time of purchase.

lol, i dont see any harm in it either.. lol, using a credit card to go out to eat is even worse. You eat your food and its gone and digested, but you pay interest on something thats gone already, lol.

Wow, not to mention, they have 180 days interest free, with 1,000min purchase. not bad.

If you're gonna finance why not get a new credit card with o% apr for 12months and then throw it all on there. Assuming you have a good enough credit rating to get a high enough limit right off the bat. Then you have zero apr for 12 months instead of 6months. Note this is like opening pandoras box if you spend like a fool but if you're abosolutely going to do it and be responsible then this seems like the most logical option to me.

would be logical, but i have like 4 major credit cards already, i dont want another one, hehe
