Id guess the red is hot as well and yellow would be ground. Looks like the sunroof gets hooked up to a 20a fuse. You should be able to get an add a fuse and use a 20a fuse to power it. If you dont want to use an add a fuse, you can wire up a relay and use a 20a inline fuse setup as well.

For the ground, either find an existing ground connection or tap into some bare metal. Best of luck cutting a hole in your roof []

 

Yea I agree with the post above me. Sounds like your red wire is the hot and your yellow is the ground wire.

And there are no instructions!!??

DO NOT ASSUME THE YELLOW WIRE IS GROUND

It might be reverse and the motor case might be the ground connection.

 

haha no, there was a motor in my car but all the wires were cut, so i tested it and the motor itself was shot. googled the sunroof motor and turns out it was an aftermarket one and i just bought the exact same one. all i want to know is where exactly do i plug the yellow/red into? it seems like there should be a spot somewhere that had a plug and i should find it, i just don't know where.

Is the motor in a plastic housing?
I think that you only got the motor itself
I took a look at my Ford Focus 2005 wiring manual and Ford does not give any details of what is inside that housing only a small note that says current is reversed to reverse the motor
