according to ford the seats are REAL leather.

 

Even if it is real leather, it's probably low grade, like "genuine" leather. I don't care about the quality, I just wish they had perforated the damn things, they get sweaty when it's warm out.

 

I live in TX. Its freaking HOT here. Leave it out for 10 min and kids get cooked. Happens all the time, don't ask.

Get AC going and never thought seats were hot.

 

More than likely just the seating areas are leather the back and sides are usually pleather. This is mostly the norm For a lot of manufacturers.

 

^^ this. "Leather seating surfaces" generally means the part your body touches. Although, if we can't tell the difference between the real and the fake, who cares?

I had a Cordoba, but it didn't have the leather, though.

 

Poke it with your finger if it wrinkles its leather, if it just leaves a smooth depression its pleather

Didn't know they switched back to real leather.

2001 was the last MY for a while that they used leather.
