I'm wondering how many trouble-free miles Focus SVT owners have gotten from their cars.

Anyone over 100k yet?

Trouble free for me at 3,300 miles, and 4 AutoCross events now.
But, that's nothing to brag about.

However, I see there is an SVTF owner on the SVTOA Forums that just hit 100,000km (62,137 miles).
I have no idea if they are all "trouble free" miles or not.[screwy]

Pretty Funny,
I just answered another thread with the same question. Well so far I have 29,883 miles with no major problems. Only repairs were YRFO, Headlight had water in it, replaced master cylinder and horns went bad.

That doesn't exactly sound like it's "trouble free" since you had to have your master cylinder replaced?? What is the master cylinder and what went wrong with it? Did the tech's explain why it failed?

Mine was defective right off the lot. It came from the factory with no freon in the A/C system. Other than that, I've had 6,000 with no problems.

Hey WillSVT,
As I stated NO MAJOR problems. The few items that were addressed were because I requested them. The YRFO update was installed because I read about it on this forum so I asked the dealer to update my computer. The water in the headlight was humidity that would have dried BUT since it was at the dealer for the YRFO they took care of the light as well. The horns were very weak so I had them replaced . As for the master cylinder, I felt that the pressure of the brake pedal was a little low so I complained to the service manager and he replaced it as a precautionary measure. So, I feel that as far as dependability goes my used SVT has been great. I have driven it for 8000 miles since March and the service it has recieved has been because of the info I have learned about on this forum. Thanks Focus Fanatics for getting my SVT updated!!!!

Hey lwnslw, Thats great. I'm also getting exccellent information from this forum.

Everyone should pick up the latest Focus Fanatic magazine, the cover has the SVT vs the ZX3 2.3l. They compare the cars in the mag and the editors at Motor Trend even chime in with their opinions.

There are turbo Foci and other modified Foci in it that should appeal to a lot of people. Its the "Spring" and second edition. The more people buy it, the better chance there will be a summer edition ;)

After I had the YRFO update my car has felt great. My 6 speed shifter seems to stick sometimes so i'm going to look into if thats normal or not.

So far I have under 1000 miles. I'm loving this car!

Well here is a little svt horror story. 1340 miles my a/c breaks and i have to take that in to get it fixed then at 3320 miles the shift linkage on the shifter snaps in half because of some dumb ford employee that couldnt find reverse. I have not gotten the YRFO yet but i really need it. All in all few problem here and there but im at 6400 miles now and i have not had any other problems. I will love my car no matter what happens. That is what warranties are for!

<<I don't have an SVT, but I have a 2000 ZX3 with 73,000 and mine runs great not one damn problem yet. I am looking to trade it in for an SVT...Do you guys think I should?>>

Not to get too off topic, but....Why are you looking to trade in your ZX3? If you're car hasn't had one problem, it sounds like a keeper to me! There is a saying, if its not broke, dont fix it.

But, if you absolutely need to get a new car, of course, the SVT would be a great choice. The 2004 Consumer Reports car edition awarded the SVT as the Most Fun to Drive car, beating the RX8, 350Z and BMW 330i among others. I dont know how you would do better then that. [;)]
