i just got my car back and i filled it up all the way with 93 octane shell gas.

i have intake, tune, coppers and wires. and light weight flywheel.
i driv maybe 80% hwy or so.
and i drive grandma style everywhere else.
i maybe hit 70 on hwy every now and then

but i usually cruise between 1800 rpm and 2200
and i shift at about 2400 rpms

i got 175 mile to half a tank.

is this normal? higher than normal orlower?

what is eveyrone else getting?

Its hard to say how much a half tank is from one person to another. Try finding out your mileage after you do a fill up.

But to answer your question, I normally get 25-28MPG 90% city driving.
I have seen 34.XX MPG driving on the interstate.

i get about 170 at a half a tank but when i fill up i fill till i hear it comin up the spout so i get a little extra in there. and i drive mostly highway with some city. on the interstate i got 36 once other then that i usually get about 32 ont he interstate.

There are numerous threads on this topic.....as well as polls. 25-28mpg is about average.

That fuel gauge is not very accurate when making MPG calculations. You need to fill the tank, set the trip odometer to zero, then drive till the low fuel light comes on. Fill the tank again, record how much you put in, and the miles you drove.

Divide the miles you drove by the gallons you put in.....that is the only way to measure MPGs worth talking about.

I get around 23mpg mixed driving and 32mpg on highway trips... and YES thats at 300whp+

In the SVT I have noticed a decrease in gas mileage from my zx3. Contribute it to larger wheel width, more hp, and my lack of ability to contain myself to 75mph or less (I hate being an obstacle on the highway). Plus, with all the 10% ethanol BS they put in gas, thats hurting the mpgs as well.

27-28 on the highway, 21-22 in the city, mainly less than 4 miles at a time. I haven't had the car long enough to get a good guess.

holysht.. somethings wrong with my svt then.. i get about 7.5 km/l using "92 oct", with AC on shifting between 2-3k, all city.. about 17mpg

could it be that we have over 100F temps?, i set the AC to number 2 to max eff

Good catch!
I never noticed that, but both goinloco1's and my window sticker do in fact say SVT Sedan in the fuel mileage block of the title. [dunno]

I usually get 300 miles to a tank 50/50 split between city and highway. If I really try, I've seen 350. I have no idea on just highway, although I did see 400+ miles when I drove it from Kansas to Texas when I bought it.

I just took a trip this past weekend to Indiana for the Indy 500 and I saw 32mpg...fully packed with people. With just our bodies we weighed about 800lbs. My car felt like a dog and i wanted to cry for my clutch. No A/C was on and that was about 85% highway miles the rest city. On the way back I had the A/C on and got 28mpg and that was the trip back plus my driving to school and work and such for the rest of the 1/3 or so of a tank.

It also depends on how much extra fill you put in the tank ... I know when the fuel pump shutoff comes up in the handle ... I sometimes add a bit more. So really the measurement to half the tank isn't going to be a set number for average.

Anyways ... to follow thread question: I get around 26-28 mpg depending on my driving.

But driving from one of part of Texas to another City I can get between 28-31 mpg ... That was several trips from Dallas to Houston I am basing my numbers on.
