FSWerks Exhaust

I was already thinking about getting an aftermarket exhaust for my 02 SVT, but yesterday the stock exhaust gave out and one hanger broke due to rust. I am planning on getting the FSWerks stealth exhaust because of its similar sound to stock (I don't want it too loud). Any suggestions before I buy? Any place to get it cheaper than the FSWerks website (its $640 with shipping)?

So the TrueBendz exhaust has no resonator. Does anyone with the borla truebendz muffler/exhaust have any experience with it? I would expect it to have more drone especially at highway speeds than stock or systems like the fswerks kit. Also I would be worried about the tone of the exhaust based on a lot of resonator delete exhausts. If anyone has experience with these exhausts that would be great.

I'm actually looking over-seas, UK to be exact, for a replacement exhaust option since they are non-exist here.

I've already ordered a few replacement/performance parts for my SVTF searching under ST170 too...

It's the overseas shipping I'm trying to figure out & justify their costs... on a big box exhaust kit.

I just finished installing the truebendz ss 2 1/2 borla catback. I also added a flow master 71416 ss round muffler/resonator to it. I used ss band clamps also. The sound is good. Slight drone mid 2000rpms, not bad though. I also had to temporarily replace the factory catalytic converter with an aftermarket one (davco I think) until I can fix the studs/flanges on the original.

Well after a long time waiting for a response from Trubendz for an exhaust, I decided to cancel that order and just go with the FSWerks stealth exhaust, which I have now received. I ran into an issue trying to install it, since the previous owner had a different exhaust (header, cat, and flex pipe) installed and its all 2". Any suggestions on an adapter or something to go from the 2" flex pipe to the 2.5" FSWerks exhaust? I just want to get my focus back on the road at this point. :(
Obviously ideally I would just get the whole stock header-cat-flex pipe assembly, but from looking around that would be probably another $500.

What is currently on the car (header, cat, flex)? You're going to be hurting yourself keeping a 2" flex and things with the 2.5" exhaust. If it's stock Zetec stuff, you should be able to slot the FSWerks front flange to fit the smaller ZX3 flex.

What happened with Trubendz? I've used 3 of their flexpipes now, all good stuff (2.5").

This is whats on the car right now, no idea what brands they are but it looks like stuff for zetec rather than svt. The previous owner didnt mention anything about the exhaust being modified but the whole system is 2".
Not sure exactly what happened with Trubendz, but I didn't recieve any tracking number or update on my order for almost a month, which is why I canceled it.

Yeah guess a previous owner cheaped out fixing the exhaust.
The SVT header is pretty easy to find on ebay, but I'm not sure about the cat; is there any standard cat people use for the SVT? I'm not sure exactly what its supposed to look like, and the ones I've seen online are around $500. Maybe a used one off another SVT if anyone has one?

Most of the time, fabbing up a universal high flow converter is your best bet. If you don't have to pass emissions testing, the off road pipe from the uk paired with a spark plug antifouler for the rear 02 sensor , has the best flowing and performance.

X2 on fabbing your own. If you can weld it's not difficult. I run a 2.5" Zetec flex from Trubendz (the longer one) and high flow cat. The longer Zetec flex makes it a lot easier since it's a very short pipe for the cat there. Random Tech used to make a "shorty" cat for this purpose and swapping the SVT header onto a regular Zetec, but they are hens teeth now.

Marrasport sells the flanges.

There is a much nicer ORP from Poland vs the UK one, similar cost. With that said... it STINKS. The extra 2hp or whatever isn't worth it to me, but it may be for you. I am much happier with the high flow cat on the car.
