damn i want that rear bumper! if you dont mind me asking, how hard was it to get it and what is involved with the install. and where did you get it?

got it from euro-parts.net

it's the r/s collection rear kit
it arrived to LAX via air-lingus (irish) from germany

(it will be deliverd to the nearest international airport)

it's a hassle to get it thru customs. you have to get a buncha papers signed by lazy, over paid customs agents

and it arrived broken.

which i didnt notice til right before install

no one covers it after you pick it up from the airline

so i was stuck with a broken rear bumper

the driver side mounting bolt broke off (only the most important piece)

so i had to use rivets, sheet metal and jb weld to get it all operational

then off course.. the euro rebar doesnt line up with the NA spec cars..

so you have to cut, trim and drill for that.

but.. in the end.. with a little patience.. it looks pretty good

most of the r/s rears i have seen leave the mesh silver and the tow hook cover silver

i opted to paint it semi-gloss blk, which i think came out pretty good

of course... money is an issue.. i think the kit is about 600+ and shipping at 150 and paint at 300ish

yeah, i just don't like the kona mess period, whether it be on a strictly stock kona edition, or your moded kona...just don't like that kona crap, just the way its plastered on there, and the design of the molding, makes it look like some little kid's car or somethin. but love the body kit, great job, looks good in that color as well. and good choice with the rims.

thats a clean looking car. Is that a cf hood or just primer looking? Either way it looks pretty good.

your car is BADASS. If you had over 50 post id nominate you for ride of the month.

Your car looks great (even with the missing rear wiper). I admire your making this work in spite of the trouble with the condition of the kit on receipt.

I've been picturing my SVT with the Euro bumpers, with a CF hood with just the two NASA ducts (like the "EVO" hoods have, minus the large central opening), all painted Comp Orange..I'll dream on for awhile.

ya know.. nothing is impossible

i wanted to sell my focus and get an sti or evo 8

it's not like anybody can afford a new car anyways.. so i shopped for an evo 8 and they are not that expensive. i mean they are.. but not in the "monthly payment" way ;)

then i did a little 'euro focus' searching and realized.. for about 2k.. you can give your NA spec car a real facelift.

these euro bumpers knock off 8" of length.. your almost in cooper mini zone.

you can even get real ford products (r/s collection front and rear,) so you get a true fit.

add some elbow grease.. and you essentially have a new car. and a rare one at that. no one has the euro styling. well.. people do.. but you know what i mean.

anyways...whatcha got to lose? worry about the money later.
