Well i am almost at 60k miles on my car. I bought it in February with 40k so i'm not sure what if anything has been done to it. I have started out with the simple things so far just spark plugs, fuel filter, and of course oil change.

What else should i do? I would like to change the tranny fluid since i have the automatic tranny. I'm not sure if i should just remove the pan and dump it myself or get it flushed at the dealer. When i change it i would like to put Amsoil fluid in but would the Ford stuff be better? I know auto trannies can be picky.

Is there anything else i should do at this time? The timing belt or chain whatever it has is good until 120k right? How about coolant? The car runs good i am just trying to keep it running good as i do a lot of stop and go driving while delivering newspapers.

Thanks

i would also change out the coolant. make sure u get the right one too. i would recommend that u get the motorcraft fluids from ford. ur timing belt is fine. inspect your brakes and change out ur plug wires.

Check your owners manual, I think the plugs and coolant are good for 100k miles. Tranny fluid should prolly be changed. Fuel filter every 30k, so do that one. I would change the PS fluid also, mine looked pretty black at 56k miles.
