that and did you see that has a 2.5" inlet on it? factory exhaust piping is only 2.25"

yeah i was gonna say a full exhaust system maybe adds around 3hp? if that. they just sound rad and let her breathe better.

The answer is no. And if it doesn't fall apart before you install it then it will within the first few miles.

This muffler is not going to add any HP, in fact, being a budget muffler, I wouldn't be surprised if it restricted flow, lol.

About the "fart can," there are nice mufflers out there, and they would look a hell of a lot better then the ugly tip on your exhaust. This one is tacky and cheap.

Like I said, don't base your modding on what people think of you.

 

To not do it. It's cheap and will sound like shit. Stick with the exhaust you have already.

Sorry, I think fart cans look like crap on any car it is installed on, especially the Focus.

 

The damn weld on the muffler in the picture looks to be rusting already.. Hmm Ill take 2 of them. Even if it isnt Im sure its a pos product. Its not going to add any Hp and even if it adds 1 or 2 hp its still not worth it.
Dont buy that pos ebay junk..If you want a fart can then spend some money and get a decent one. The only car I like fart cans on are Supras for some reason,Maybe just because I like Supras and I bet you could put a pile of crap on top of a Supra and I would still like it.

 

If you really want to quiet the existing exhaust down, but like the tone, I would call F2 and see if they will sell you just a muffler. The kind they use in their exhaust which you have. I am sure they would be more than happy.

 

^too bad thats a honda fit and not a focus... the tip will come out the other side.

Be smart and don't waste your money on crap like this POS muffler, if you REALLY want it go ahead and get it but just stop trying to convince us they look or sound cool. You know what you want, so just get it but just expect to here some "Don't like the muffler" comments when ever a picture of your car is posted.

Oh and lastly, loud daily driver car does NOT = Cool!

I put the Apexi N1 exhaust on my Talon years ago. It's 3" all the way from the downpipe, but that's a turbo car. I say a no go with the muffler. Get a Borla exhaust.

 

Nothing looks better or sounds better then a FSWerks stainless steel race exhaust on a Focus!!

 

Oh, I think Borla might have something to say about that =)

 

I like the Borla WAY better than my FS, the tip is nicer and the sound is LOWER.

BUT

I love my FS I got it for a few reasons, I liked the sound, it was the right price at the time, and I love the Focus Sport logo on the tip. I would not buy another one now b/c they changed the name on the tips... I don't like the name FSWerks.

 

Yeah I got mine just when Hilbish had them on super clearance for like 200. Otherwise, I would not have gotten it. Very pricey.

But, yes, best, lowest sound out there. The Borla is the Godfather of exhausts for the Focus!

 

Borla is low? i could have sworn on a meet one of the locals had one on his svt and it was really loud and raspy, didn't sound low like mine..

 

If you run the stock header/cat on the SVT with the Borla it would be low, add a ORP to it and you get some rasp. Same thing will happen if you add the Borla and a header to the duratec, it would get loud. I still have the stock header b/c I hate the raspy sound of a N/A 4cyl on a daily driver, now a turbo/supercharger will change the sound and then I'd be ok with it.

yeah, that setup wouldnt be raspy. i could see header, nothing else being really raspy tho!
