Well here is the deal. I'm getting ready to fork out some dough and get more bolt ons.
Here is what i'm thinking

I already have a MM Cai.

Going to get a draxas header, borla exhost, and a cosworth 67mm throttle body. (i was going to get the FC but its a 65mm for the same price.

Does this sound like a good setup to everyone, and if not what changes would you make.

lastly does anyone know what i'll be around for HP and torque at the wheels?

Thanks

I'd get tuning instead of the throttlebody.

MarcyMotorsport just got the datalogging flashers in, so tuning will be happening very soon.

get the TB, its worth it. Also get it tunned too I dont know why ppl bash the TB's show em some love!!

"sounds like a fine setup... With ecu-tuning, header, exhaust, tb, and your Marcy Intake... you should be right at 150, maybe 160 horsepower and torque... auto-tranny will be slightly lower..."

Actually my 2.3L put down a little over 160WHP with FS intake, 2.5" cat-back exhaust and Draxas race header. Deleting the cat, installing throttle body and ecu-tuning should put you closer to 170 WHP.

Yea but he has the 2.0L Duratec (why cant ford offer the 2.3 on all models [:(]) so he would be more near the 150-155 mark, and if he has the auto, he will be putting about 112 to the wheels, mtx about 132

I'm in the same boat as the thread poster, deciding either TB or Tune...dont really know yet...

tuning cam's would give you more horsepower per dollar spent rather than a cosworth throttle body. Perhaps a header then SCT reflash. then you should be over the 160 hp mark.

i would think a throttle body should be one of the last mod's done to a car.

thanks for the replies! I'm still sitting on it and deciding what to do... What does it take to get a cam adjustment? remember i live in iowa so tuner shops are scarse!

only thing is that replacing cams can void your warrenty. its not really consider a bolt on part as you are messing with the drivetrain....

Go with headers and a tune, thats my near future mods. <--- cant wait!!
