Hopefully somebody knows this, if you are switching from an automatic to a manual is the crank sensor on an auto-engine in a different spot or a different type thus wont work with the manual-tranny? Also I'm wondering if the exciter ring on the flywheel for both the manual and auto is at the same location in terms of distance from the center???

The sensor is the same and the mounting bushing is different. Its mounted to the block from the "inside" of the block. In other words, if you have installed the trans already, you will have to pull it back out to change it. The part# you need is F5RZ-6K341-A. Its only about $7.
