So what color do you guys think would look good. Mine are still the stock light gray and are pretty faded from the years.

I painted mine black and I love it. Especially with a black headliner and other accents.

BUT....I saw iminhell's pillars and he covered his with cloth which I think is a great idea. I have a few scratches on mine and it's bothering me so I may have to take a note from him and cover them in cloth sometime.

So I voted Other.....black cloth would be my choice.

(or micro suede!!)

depends on if you wanna do the headliner to and what color you wanna do that in... if you do the liner in black do the pillars black, white, do white... just your call i cant even vote

I've been thinking the same thing lately, I think I'm gonna do the top portion of my dash and the pillars dark grey (although I would like to do black and a micro suede headliner) just so there's not such a heavy contrast from the pillars to the door panels (that crappy stock grey and then BAMMM black). I could be totally off but we'll see.

Im leaning towards black, but haven the white car, I thought white, it would be something different. I just know if I want to do a white headliner. The charcoal gray is my compermise except I cant find it in satin, and gloss is out of the question.

alright here it is........ black carpet, black seats, black dash, silver highlights, half of the pillars (the one's with the seat belts attached.....B, right?) painted black as well, the top half of the pillars painted tan, and either a tan, black, or white headliner [thumb]

and and a little dark gray in there somewhere [scratch]

edit: ok like this....the Mazda CX-7 (where I got the idea, obviously.) I think it looks hot [thumb]

Looks good, I started painting a few dash and door panel pieces aswell as all my vents with dupli color interior paint. I've left the little bit I painted awhile back to see how durable it'll be (was debating doing the whole interior black) and so far the peices that pop out of the door (the part you pull the door closed with) haven't faired to well. I took my console, glove box and arm rest off now and trying to scuff that stuff a bit better to get the paint to bond better, I also have black Acura RSX seats that will be going in once I can do some work in my driveway again (snow ARGH). Anyways a neat thing I was able to do was take leather from the RSX rear seats (since they won't fit) and cover things such as the armrest. I'll have to put some pics up soon, hopefully when I get the seats in.

I recently added a three-pod gauge pillar housing to my '06.....it's black. Everything else is that stock silver/gray. And I must say I like the black look enough to do the other side black, as well as some more of the trim.

I'm not going to touch the doors however. Durability is always a concern.....a paint job is never going to hold up as well as the stock finish. And many of these pieces are exposed to the sun, and fading. For that reason I'd think twice before painting anything inside the car, as well as covering stuff with micro-suede or anything else.

i agree with you on the fading part, but I have one thing going my car sit in the garage most of the time. [woot] the paint will stick when preped right. I work for rust-oleum so ettint he right paint is no problem. I am going to use our new Universal paint it sticks to anything!

^^^ ah you work for Rust-Oleum, huh? I was just thinking of this the other day..... is your black paint safe to use on my brake drums after I glass bead them?? also do you guys have like the "barbecue" paint in black for high temps and anti rust? (dude I love rust-oleum stuff, lol!)
