look a the over all dia. of tires


i looked at how cars were lowered to see how far i could go w/o a problem in the sus. and then what point that problems start at, a 2.5" drop so i got a new set of wheels and tires and only added 1" over all dia. it will rub the plastic inside the fender when i turn the wheel to the lock position ( that is when u turn the wheel all the way to one side )_

the one inch greater over all dia. changed things for me it was a little different to drive w/ a MTX at the start from a dead stop, kind of like when i was trying to get used to the feel of this clutch and motor is all but i got the hang of it in a week
i spend 95% of my time ont he interstate over 45mph at 65mph it lowered my rpm's about 200 and around 3-4 mpg in the end for me and i drive like a old man

The 205/55-15 is a popular tire width option. Make sure the tire manufacture recommends tha tire for the stock wheel width. The stock rim is six inches in width. That's the minimum recommended width for some tire manufacturers. For good recommendations check out TireRacks tire tests and recommendations.

 

I got a 225'50-15 for my stock wheels. They are a pain in the butt to put on.

 

I had 205/50/15 kuhmo ecsta spt.and loved em.much better grip than stock
now i have 215/45/17 falkens[]
215 s may work.You will be safer with a 195/205 size on 15x6 inch rim.
