air box resonator

hi, i removed the air box resonator not long ago and i was wondering if it actually does anything for performance or if it was just for sound..

It makes you use a lot more gas and makes lot more sound. It kills gas mileage it would be pretty much the same as pulling out ur maf. Its drawing in unmetered air

if you lost MPG due to removing your intake resonator you should check everything out and make sure your intake system is working properly..maybe clean the MAF check for leaks clean the filter...clean throttle body/TPS...etc

Yes, it makes more sound. No, it doesn't improve power (well maybe +1 HP). No, it doesn't kill gas mileage. And no, it doesn't draw in unmetered air, it is upstream of the MAF and the air filter. It is just one extra hole in the airbox.

Makes more sound, and it won't gain more power and 90base how is it drawing in more un-metered air? It still goes through the MAF.... won't hurt your mpg's..
