How much would it cost to change my 2001 ZX3 to a 5 speed? And is it ok to shift up from 1-2-Drive, when driving an automatic?

1. the price for the converion would be almost the same as a atx build up...arround 2k - 3k...with labor...

2. shifting 1-2-drive would do little to the car...IMO is worthless...

I gotta go with Joel on both parts. If you really want to get work done, just build up the ATX.

an atx build up would still never be as fun as the mtx-75. shifting is what makes driving fun IMO

Just take a look. Oh yeah, I have plenty of fun driving my ATX Contour and Focus and that is in the twisties and everything.
