A 2016 Focus is a MK3 not a MK4 so you posted in the entirely wrong section.
You have electric steering. It's called EPAS(electric power assisted steering). You don't have a steering pump like with an older car with hydraulic power steering. Maybe your rack and pinion is making noise if it's grinding. Also, check your tie rods and ball joints. If they are so worn out that they are making noise then you could wind up in an accident if one breaks.

Thanks for the info . Only 57 k . This very strange noise - seems like its coming from the bottom and middle of the car where epas is located not from the tie rods and ball joints .

 

i can only hear it when turning steering wheel .. i will try to record it and post here

 

You might want top get the car scanned for trouble codes to see if the EPAS is giving off a code. Auto parts stores will do this for free.
